Caliente Resort - Tampa, FL If you really are looking for a real upscale resort, I'd have to recommend Caliente. You can visit even if you are not an RVer because they have all types of accomodations from houses to villas to hotel rooms available. There is a large clubhouse with choices for dining and dancing. Several bars including one by the pools. And speaking of pools, there are plenty of those available, also. The grounds are well kept and the facility is as nice, or nicer, than any I've frequented. We stayed in our RV at the "casita" village area. Casitas are small houses and there are vacant lots in the village area that allow for RV parking with full hook-ups. There is also a clubhouse with a restroom and shower along with a hot tub for use by the residents of that the casita village. First the pool area; very nice with several different styles of pools available to meet your needs. We stayed in the "main" pool most of the time because that is where the bar was located providing all those delicious tropical frozen drinks. When you have had enough of the crowds you can move to a conversation pool that is slightly headted and has seating all around. No kids are allowed in here. There are also pools designated for playing sports. The nightlife is spectacular. We visited the disco and danced the night away naked. I wish I had more pictures, but all of the resorts are REAL funny about taking pictures. We also enjoyed sitting in the bar and had a wonderful nude dinner at the club house. Everything was first class and I have no real complaints. The do have sports and fitness facilities, a wonderful spa, walking paths all around the resort and most any amenty you could ask for. The prices are not cheap, but certainly reasonable for that type of facility. |
